Kimberly Zaga, LMSW
I am deeply passionate about helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety and other challenges. After working as a Crisis Counselor, I found that so many people experience day-to-day feelings of sadness, stress, hopelessness, and worry. This inspired my strong commitment to helping people become happier, more fulfilled, less anxious, and more productive.
If you are suffering from depression and/or anxiety, I welcome the opportunity to partner with you on your journey to becoming a more confident and empowered version of you, so you can focus on your goals and aspirations and feel good about yourself. Whether you are challenged by relationship issues, work stress, life transitions, or just getting through the day, I will work with you collaboratively in a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment with compassion, trust, and empathy.
As a Licensed Master of Social Work in NYC, I utilize a cognitive behavioral, evidence-based, and strengths-based approach to foster personal growth. Specializing in a wide
range of issues, I help clients navigate depression, anxiety, life transitions, parenting, fertility challenges, relationship issues, career challenges, marriage and family conflict, and stress. We will work together to help you understand your negative thoughts and thought patterns, and I will empower you to reframe your thought processes and behaviors to foster personal growth. A little more about me - My professional journey began as a Crisis Counselor, supporting people of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and self-harm. I later refined my skills in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at a CBT-focused private practice in NYC, concentrating on anxiety, depression, social anxiety disorder, and OCD.I graduated summa cum laude from The University of Pennsylvania and beta gamma sigma from Columbia Business School. After receiving my MSW from New York University I received additional training at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am currently under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Dihmes.
